. . .. oOo .. . .
From East Bay United SC:
We are writing this sad e-mail on behalf of East Bay United Soccer Club to express our deepest condolences for the untimely death of Bruce Furst on Monday, June 6, 2011 . Bruce has been a coach within Bay Oaks Soccer Club for more than 15 years. He has been instrumental not only as a coach of many Bay Oaks' teams but also assisted with multiple Bay Oaks and Rockridge Soccer club initiatives. Bruce believed in player development and loved working with all the players he had coached over the years.
We will all agree that Bruce will be sorely missed by this organization and all the families that he has touched one way or another.
For all of us at Bay Oaks who worked closely with Bruce, we will miss him dearly. He's been a true inspiration for all us to 'coach with passion' regardless of his personal struggles.
Below you will find details from his family regarding the celebration of his life. We hope you all can come out and show why Bruce loved this sport and organization so much.
Sincerely,
East Bay United Soccer Club

BRUCE FURST - A CELEBRATION OF LIFE
On Monday, June 6th, Bruce Furst passed away. Bruce touched the lives of so many people that we wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate his life and pay tribute to his spirit of giving to others.
Please join us on Sunday, July 10th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Coaches Field in Piedmont for an informal gathering of family and friends where we will share our memories and tell some stories about Bruce.
The celebration will take place on a soccer field, of course, because that is what Bruce would have wanted. Please bring your own chair or blanket. We encourage you to bring any photos or mementos and there will be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and memories of Bruce.
Details about his event will be posted at http://BruceFurst.blogspot.com.
We look forward to seeing you.
